The next safety issue are the seat belts. These mount to the chassis at floor level in the cockpit and behind the rear seats. The drive tunnel mounting points are a bit of a challenge as the side panels have to be in place, meaning the only access is though the top of the drive tunnel. Here the drive shaft gets in the way but using a long spanner it is just possible to reach the bolts so they can be secured.

The other seat belt mount can be reached with the wheel removed and did not prove to be any problem. Well there's a first time for everything!

The rear seatbelt mounts were very simple, there is a big fall coming I can sense it.

To keep Mr. IVA happy the rear seatbelt mounts and the lower seat belt mounts need to have protection over them (radius not sharp edges). Well there is the option to put tatty foam over things and bolt covers over other things and generally cover the offending items.

After one attempt it was decided to build something neater and much more permanent. So Little Darth-Vader helmets were produced to go over the rear mounts.

The lower seat belt mounts were covered with the same cover only without the large dome on top, kind of Darth-Vader flat caps.
